Woman, Infants, and Children (WIC)

 

We work with new and expecting moms and young children to eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. We provide nutrition education and counseling, nutritious foods, and referrals to health and other social services.

The WIC program is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.

 

Breast Feeding Support

The Minnesota WIC program provides one-on-one support before and during a parent’s breastfeeding journey. WIC also talks about the importance of breastfeeding with pregnant and new parents and provides resources to help WIC families reach their breastfeeding goals.


 

Itasca County WIC

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. It is a nutrition and breastfeeding program. The WIC Program provides healthy foods and nutrition information to eligible individuals.

 

Aitkin County WIC

The Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC) provides nutritional education and supplemental foods which promote good health for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women and for infants and children up to age five.

 

Koochiching County WIC

The Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC) provides nutritional education and supplemental foods which promote good health for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women and for infants and children up to age five.
